CP vet Rory Lydon launches festive food appeal ...

Lydons vets in Kingstanding and sister practice Scotts in Great Barr have launched their annual appeal for cat and dog food to support both North Birmingham Cats Protection and Hollytrees Animal Rescue in Redditch. The collection bins are spruced up for Christmas and ready for donations from the animal-loving public.

2017 is Rory Lydon’s 29th year supporting, as he calls them, ‘these wonderful causes’. And vet nurse Cally Harris was happy to decorate the collection bin at Kingstanding, ably assisted by pampered pooches Basil and Stanley. Cally ‘hopes it will soon be full, emptied and filled again – then distributed to the needy cats and dogs at Christmas’.

Says Clinical Director Rory: “Our Centre offers a well-established experienced team of veterinary surgeons and nurses. News is that we’ve become part of the Independent Vet Care Group – IVCG - and as a result refurbishment and more improvements are in the pipeline.

“I’ve specialised in small animal care for over 33 years and supporting me this year are vets Bryn Morgan, Daniel Davidov and Katie Grainger – all of them and our nurses and reception staff are fully au fait with CPs fosterers and the charity’s welfare team. And we’re delighted that so many adopters of Cats Protection’s needy cats and kittens stay on with us as clients and are the first to donate and ‘give-something-back’ at Christmas-time to help the animals. We wish all our clients and their pets a happy Christmas and the very best for 2018."
