BBC Three Counties Radio Treasure Quest - North Herts Cats Protection Coffee Morning was the treasure!

BBC Three Counties Radio Treasure Quest - North Herts Cats Protection Coffee Morning was the treasure!

North Herts Cats Protection Coffee Morning, held on Saturday 13th January 2018 in Hitchin, was the chosen treasure for BBC Three Counties Radio Treasure Quest.

Treasure Quest is described as: "Four clues, three hours, one mission. Help us find the hidden treasure in Beds, Herts and Bucks. Jonathan Vernon-Smith is in the studio, and our reporters are battling it out to get to the treasure first."

BBC Three Counties Radio Treasure Quest chose us as the treasure at our coffee morning in Hitchin (St Mary's Church House) on Saturday 13th January, and our branch co-ordinator Bianca Kubler had a very brief chat with Jonathan Vernon-Smith on the air and with Danny who was the 'runner'.

Listen here, at 2hrs 49mins into the episode - it's absolutely hilarious (they end up in the wrong place to start with - gatecrashing a Christening by mistake - trying to find us!)

Here were the clues they set to discover us:
  1.  Sounds like this mammal is on a steep journey.
  2. A home for criminals or strays holds your next clue.
  3. To throw a spell or bring bad luck, then fasten with a loop and drop one of the letters.
  4. Recharge and relax with the help of Lamiaceae.
  5. You’ll be rewarded with a purrfect beverage at your treasure!

The little toy cat (a present from one of our regulars) which normally sits at the front desk of our coffee mornings and with which Danny took a selfie, found itself on Twitter:

What fantastic publicity for our charity!
