Rehoming Success Story: Chilli - Nov 2021

Robin, now Chilli, was in the care of North Herts Cats Protection in 2021 and we homed him to his forever loving home. His adopter has been in touch to let us know how well he's settling in.

"Chilli came to us four weeks ago and spent the first week hiding under the sofa as he was very nervous and shy. He didn’t eat for a couple of days but we would take it in turns to sit in the room so he would recognise our voices and eventually he started coming out to eat and very slowly started to get used to us. Now, a month later, he is super affectionate, he loves nothing better than being stroked and cuddled and purrs so loudly it rumbles right through him! We have slowly introduced him to our five-year-old Smudge; Chilli wants to be friends and lies down next to him but Smudge is taking a bit longer to get used to him. I know they will be friends soon and go out and explore together. We are very happy to have Chilli with us, he is a lovely, playful and happy addition to our family."

We're delighted that Chilli has settle in so well. If you've adopted a cat from North Herts Cats Protection and would like to send an update please contact us, we'd love to hear from you.
