Rehoming Success Story: Elsie - Jan 2021

Elsie had been in the care of North Herts Cats Protection in 2020 and she was homed to her forever loving home. Her adopter has been in touch to let us know how she's been getting along:

Elsie has settled in very nicely. I slowly introduced her to the rest of the house, and just allowed her to roam so she would feel comfortable.
She loves sleeping by the radiator behind the sofa. When I go to bed she usually follows me up and has found the spare room bed suits her just fine. However on occasions she likes to come and snuggle next to me, wanting to be tickle and stroked under her chin around her head. Originally she walked around the bed I bought her, but since moving it and just leaving it in the front room, she decided to try it. She absolutely loves it, and hasn't bothered to come upstairs for a few nights as I think she is far too cozy, as you can see by the photos.
Her favorite toy is her blue dangling feather. We have to play at least twice a day. She also likes her soft balls, but they get taken apart, so she will get a new one that she can not pull apart. Her scratch pad had been a godsend, she uses each day and likes to sit on it. Friends and family sent her Christmas presents so she has really become part of the family. It is lovely to hear her purring, while snuggling up in her bed, playing, or just being pampered.

We're delighed to hear that Elsie has settled in so well. If you've adopted a cat from North Herts Cats Protection and would like to send us an update please contact us, we'd love to hear from you.
