Rehoming Success Story: Gin - Sep 2020

Gin was in the care of North Herts Cats Protection in 2020 and we homed her to her forever loving home. Her adopter has been in touch to let us know how well she's settling in:

"We always wanted a cat but felt it was never the right time. And then came lock down. We were both stuck working from home with no prospect of going back to the office anytime soon and thought, it's now or never! We browsed several website and met Gin (was Sheila) on the Cats Protection website by chance. She looked cheeky and cute and that was it! The adoption process was straightforward (if you read the paperwork properly that is...) and we met her for the first time on the 19-July when she was dropped off at our house. I was surprised at how accurate the website description of her character was... playful (she is still a kitten so no surprise there!) and likes a cuddle (she is a loud purrer, very talkative and definitely likes a stroke or three!). She has settled in really well (except a few attempts at 'experiencing the great outdoors' - and by that I mean escaping whilst we were distracted! - a bit too soon). She is growing, playing, demanding attention and seeking affection and we are loving it! Not to mention the excuse to buy a connected cat feeder, cat flap and pet/security cameras- oh the fun!"

We're so pleased that Gin is doing so well in her new home. If you've adopted a cat through North Herts Cats Protection and would like to send an update please get in touch, we'd love to hear from you.
