Eating Cake at Oxford University Press helps Cats!

The Raffle Cake - mulit-layer sponge with milk and plain chocolated covered cat-shaped biscuits on topA cake sale at the Oxford University Press, organised by cat-lover Veronica Lozada-Uzuriaga, who works there, raised a magnificent £254.13 for the Branch. We are very grateful to Veronica for all her hard work. Every penny goes towards helping needy kittens and cats in Oxfordshire, as the branch is run entirely by volunteers.

Lucky Rachael Adams won the superb raffle cake baked by Lisa Cross, who also made the cat cupcakes and packets of cat-shaped shortbread biscuits.

Lisa is a wonderful friend of the branch. We are grateful to her and to others who took time to bake for us. As some of our usual bakers were away, we asked some of the ladies who had recently adopted cats and kittens from us if they would bake for us. Not only did they come up trumps, but we heard how much our cats were loved and how well they have settled. And that is what it is all about.
Veronica with the final total!
