The Importance of Microchipping

A stray cat was reported to us. our volunteer Ray went to collect the cat armed with his scanner. Whilst the cat was in the basket he scanned him only to find he was microchipped. After telephone calls to the microchip company the owner was contacted and this cat had been missing for THREE YEARS. He had travelled from Anchorage Park to the Hayling Ferry where he was currently living. Tyler was reunited with his delightful owners who had in the meanwhile got 2 other cats. Ray gave some advice as to mixing the 3 cats and hopefully they will live in harmonly. (if only cats could talk, where has he been and what has he been doing for 3 years).
This story also shows the importance of that little chip in the back of the next and to NEVER GIVE UP HOPE.
