Penwortham Shop leads the region with VCIP level 4 award

Congratulations are due to the volunteers and staff at our Penwortham shop for all their hard work which has led to us being awarded the Level 4 Volunteer Champions In Practice award from CP nationally. Many thanks to Lesley Fishleigh, our shop manager, who has led the Penwortham shop team to this success. We are the first shop in the region to achieve VCIP Level 4. It's hard to believe that we've managed this just eight months after opening.
Cats Protection is a charity that puts a lot of emphasis on training and encouraging volunteers. We've set up a verification programme nationally called Volunteer Champions In Practice which documents and recognises the professional way in which our volunteers work.
We've always known that Preston Branch is a great rescue group to volunteer for (many of our volunteers have been with us for decades), but it's nice to be recognised. Every single volunteer should be very proud of what we do together.
