A Stormy Bookstall !

10 August 2019
A Stormy Bookstall !

On the 10th August many locals gathered at the Purley Farmers Market, huddling around the stalls inside the converted barn which shielded them from the outside storm.

It was rumoured that not many would show up for this event due to the weather, and although no stalls were set outside the barn this time, a little bit of wind & rain wasn’t going to stop anyone from queuing up to find themselves a good deal on farmers eggs and meat, cakes and coffee, and novels from the CP bookstall!

Cats Protection Berkshire has taken part in this event multiple times in the past, and with the help of two kind & caring volunteers: Caroline and John (pictured below), this is possible. Raising money for the cats, while spreading awareness of the cause, and generally being able to get involved with the local community - makes it so worthwhile for everyone involved.

We are always on the lookout for cat lovers and paw-fect enthusiasts to help with events like this, or even other roles within the web or social media - so if this is of interest to you, or you can think of anyone who may wish to be involved - please contact:

Thankyou to everyone who helped make this event so successful, from all of us at the branch (and the cats!)
