Reading Water Fest 2019
15 June 2019
Reading Water Fest is a free event held at Forbury Gardens, which Cats Protection gladly became a part of this year.
Visitors to this year’s celebration of canal life were treated to children’s activities, craft and charity stalls as well as boat parades and a boat tug of war.
The event was extended into the newly restored Abbey Ruins and Forbury Gardens, where traditional music and dance was complemented by a feast of folk-inspired acts.
Despite rainy showers on the day, everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves! The Cats Protection stand had a huge number of books for sale: showcasing anything from cooking, walking, history, fiction and much more. It was a great turnout on the day, with people huddling under the stand to steer clear of the rainy showers, whilst browsing the books on display!!
If you, or any other cat-enthusiasts would like to get involved in the next jumble sale or event,
