Recycling for good causes
Do you have lots of old £1 coins lying round? Did you know these will no longer be legal tender after 15 October? Are you wondering what to do with them?
We’re working with our recycling partners Recycling for Good Causes to put them to good use and generate much needed funds to help the cats in our care.
How your donation could help
Every £6 donated could help provide a meal for 30 cats in our care so please donate your £1 coins to us now or after 15 October to help with our work.
How to donate:
Simply contact Recycling For Good Causes and they will send you a Round Pound Appeal collection envelope to put your £1 coins in that can be returned free of charge. Sign up for your pack online or call now on 0800 633 5323 (Freephone).
Raise money for cats with your unwanted jewellery and currency!
You can now donate your unwanted jewellery or currency (banknotes only) to raise money for Cats Protection.
If you have any gold, silver, costume jewellery or watches, you can recycle them, at no cost to you, whilst making money for Cats Protection. Even odd earrings and damaged items are accepted.
Banknotes of any age and from any country can also be donated.
Our partners at Recycling for Good Causes will recycle the items, giving the proceeds to Cats Protection.
How it works:
Simply pop the items into an envelope (no larger than A5) and post free of charge to:
AMBER BUSINESS VILLAGE
Please make sure you mention Cats Protection on the envelope as this will ensure we receive the funds from your donated items. Cats Protection will then receive a donation based on the value of your items*.
The Recycling Project
Should you wish to recycle additional items or larger quantities, you can request to take part in The Recycling Project by calling Recycling for Good Causes on 0800 633 5323 or emailing email@example.com.
You will then be sent a recycling sack. The sack can be filled with jewellery, currency (including coins), mobile phones, games consoles, games, mp3 players, digital cameras and other gadgets.
Once the sack is at around 10kg, you can call Recycling for Good Causes to arrange collection.
Please remember to mention that you would like to raise funds for Cats Protection. We will then receive a donation based on the value of your items*.
If you have any questions about recycling, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
*The donation will be calculated as 75% of the item resale value, minus costs.
