Jasper (nee Gary Greylees)

Hello.

I am a very lucky two year old cat. When I was taken to Cats Protection after a serious road accident in August 2011 they named me Gary Greylees, but I now have a new home and a new name, Jasper. In Persian it means ‘treasurer’ and I have certainly been given so much care and love since the accident to store up. Cats Protection took me to the vets where I had a major operation to fix my broken pelvis and they nursed me back to health. As I had such a major injury I am sure they thought they might not find me a home. Then in November Veronica and Stephen came along. They had lost their cat in an accident and had seen my picture on the website. When they saw I had been found on Stephen’s birthday they knew I was meant for them. They came to see me and I took to them at once. I still have a slight limp but that hasn’t stopped me from enjoying my new house. My family love me and have given me a wonderful place to live. I can run up and down the stairs at a terrific speed and my leg is getting stronger every day. My favourite game is batting my toy mouse under the piano then watching in amusement as my owner tries to fish it out. Christmas has been such fun with an indoor tree and lots of sparkly decorations to play with. I made friends with all the visitors and have had plenty of laps to sit on. If it wasn’t for Cats Protection I wouldn’t be around to give my affection to a new family and I know that I will enjoy a long and happy life with them.

Thank you Cats Protection for not giving up on me and finding me a new home.
