70th Anniversary

We in Southampton are celebrating 70 years of being part of a National Charity, we are planning 7 events to celebrate 70 years, here are a few of them and we home that you will be able to come and join in …
CP ROCKS – this will be aimed at our younger supporters, we will be holding a workshop where they can come along and paint a rock with a cat on it, the rocks will be scattered about in Southampton when someone finds one they move it to somewhere else, the person who painted the Rock that gets the furthest away will win a prize. If you have a child that cannot join in for any particular reason they can paint their rock at home and still join in. Will be setting up a Facebook page to track the rocks progress!
70 SHOE BOXES APPEAL – we are aiming to achieve 70 shoe boxes filled with cat items, food, treats, toys etc for the cats in our care, this could be a group event or individuals, we will be having a meet the team day later in the year where you can drop your boxes off and have some birthday cake! The best decorated shoe box will win a prize!
2 RAFFLES – We have pinched this idea off St Francis Animal Rescue after enjoying watching theirs! One will be around Easter time the other Christmas, we will be pre selling raffle tickets and will be broadcasting live from our shop the drawing of the Raffles. We have some fantastic prizes so make sure you buy your tickets at our events or from our Charity Shop in Totton!
CRAFT EVENING – An evening of crafting with Tutors demonstrating, we will have a list of the crafts on offer and you can choose which you would like to do, this will be a ticketed event and will include a hot drink and cake, please feel free to bring your own alcohol should you wish! Hopefully this will be a fun eve aimed at adults who like to create and you will go home with a selection of items you have made!
