Transport Volunteer - Volunteer Role Description

How you will make a difference to cats and people:
This is an essential role withing the branch. You will help by collecting and distributing equipment and supplies to other volunteers and help cats get from A to B. You will play an important part in providing support to other volunteers, enabling them to carry out their roles effectively to help cats in our care

What the role involves:
  • Transporting equipment to and frome vents or to and from our lcok up
  • Collecting donations from the public
  • Collecting donated cat food from supermarkets

If you are asssting the Welfare Volunteers

  • Taking our cats to the vets for treatment
  • Taking cats to their fosterer or to their new home
  • Collecting cats from owners for neutering, returning them home later after their operation
Skills and experience which are expected or can be developed in this role:
  • Sound organisation and time management skills
  • Knowledge of local community
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • Physically able to carry out some heavy lifting
Time expectation:
This is a flexible role shared with others. A commitment of 2 to 4 hours would not be unusual
