Adopt a cat

Due to the current financial climate and overall increase in costs. We have made the very difficult decision to increase the charge on our kittens. From the 3rd August 2022 kittens (8 weeks -6 months) will cost £105 each.

We will be freezing the costs for the Adults they will remain £85 each.
All cats and kittens are vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, flea and worm treated,  and come with 4 weeks free pet plan insurance.

THE FIVE STEPS TO GETTING A CAT:

1 - FIND A CAT/KITTEN YOU LIKE

Visit our website to view the cats available or call the Centre and our staff will help direct you to the most suitable cat or kitten for your housing environment.

Please read the cats individual profile throughly as this will state if the cat is suitable to live with other cats, dogs, children etc.

Our website is regularly updated so if you can't see a cat/kitten that matches your requirements please continue to monitor our site.

2 - REGISTER YOUR INTEREST

Once you find a cat you are interested in please click on the "Contact us about this cat" and complete the enquiry form.

We can not accept any enquiries from our Facebook page.

3 - WE WILL CONTACT YOU

Please be aware we sometimes receive high volumes of enquiries (especially for kittens) so it may take a little while to process all the applications.

We will contact all applicants either by email or telephone.

Home-checks are undertaken via video call (WhatsApp) and during this call we will be looking to see where the cat/kitten would be living and take the opportunity to show you how the cat/kitten interacts with the member of staff.

During the call we will explain how our adoption process works and if both parties are happy we would request that an official reserve form is completed and returned along with proof of address. Until we have received the official reserve form we may still process other applications.

Once this has been received then we can complete the adoption paperwork. We will call you to go through the paperwork, take payment for the adoption fee and arrange a suitable day/time for you to collect your new companion.

Copies of the adoption paperwork will be sent to you via email (using Adobesign) for you to sign and return to us. If you do not have access to email or if you are not technical we are more than happy to help with this.

Please note:
If you rent your property from a private landlord then we will require written permission or a copy of a tenancy agreement stating that you can have cat/s in the property. We would advise that you have written permission in place before expressing an interest in our cats.

The adoption fee is required at the time we complete the adoption call.

Cats must be collected within 7 days from us receiving your expression of interest/reserve form. Single kittens must be collected within 3 days. Cats can be collected from our centre 7 days a week between 11.00am - 2.30pm

4 - VIEW OUR SHOP GOODS

When you reserve a cat we will send out paperwork for completion, we will also send you a list of goods that we have for sale including the food they are currently fed on, litter, litter trays, toys etc.

If you would like to purchase any of these items just let us know and we will have the items ready for when you collect your cat.

5 - SUPPORT US BY MAKING AN ADDITIONAL DONATION

There is a £85 Adoption Fee per cat and £105 per kitten, this fee is just a fraction of what we have spent so if possible please support us by leaving an additional donation to help towards our costs.

On average we will have spent around £150 on each cat to try and ensure that you are taking a healthy cat and to provide care until a new home can be found.
