Sunday 6th July – CP at Stourbridge Carnival report
Sunday 6th July – Stourbridge Carnival. The weather was kind to us and
many of the good folk of Stourbridge turned out to support local
businesses and charities.
Our stall did brilliantly, selling official merchandise, and we had a
good old traditional tombola... prizes were flying off the table, thanks
to Dot, Sue, June, Jan, Sally, Lorraine, Jackie and Becky who "manned"
the stall in the blistering heat. Thanks too to Shaun for providing the
strength helping transport goods and gazebo etc..
We also opened our shop in Lower High Street, with the support of Helen and Justin, and the takings were brilliant!
Last but not least we had a visit from a couple of ‘’local cats’’, Harry
and Honey, who caused a real stir with both children and adults at the
carnival. They took me for a walk around Stourbridge - with a collecting
bucket and people gave very generously to have a picture taken with
H&H. Harry was a real hit with some of the ladies! Thank you to
Mitch, Phoebe and James for helping me keep H&H fed and watered
throughout the day! (See pictures below.)
It was a brilliant fundraising day – thanks to all.
If you had your picture taken with us on Saturday, please send it to our
Facebook page or website and we will feature the best ones.
