With the Alternative Cat Awards well underway, it's time to meet those having to make the hard decision of who to crown as finalists. Here's our line up of top celeb judges.
Alan is a senior British continuity announcer for BBC Radio and BBC Television.
He is known as the ‘Voice of the Balls’ on BBC1’s National Lottery TV programmes and has worked in the US where he was the voiceover announcer for ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.
Formerly, he was the sidekick to the late Sir Terry Wogan on BBC Radio 2’s breakfast programme Wake Up to Wogan.
Theatre and TV star Arlene has choreographed many hit West End musicals including Flashdance, Grease and Starlight Express.
She has been a judge on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and her other TV appearances include BBC’s The One Show and ITV’s Loose Women.
Arlene has a cat called Romeo who she adopted from Mayhew.
Professional skater Frankie made her debut in the hit ITV competition Dancing on Ice in 2007 and went on to star in another eight series.
Former goalkeeper David played for Leeds, Peterborough, Birmingham City, QPR, Arsenal and Manchester City over a 23-year goalkeeping career with highlights including winning the Premier League three times and starring in England’s run to the semi-finals of the European Championship in 1996.
The pair supported Cats Protection’s Celebrity Paws auction and Frankie volunteers for Cats Protection, fostering mum cats and kittens.
Gina has been a beauty expert on ITV1’s This Morning and she has also appeared on a range of other shows including ITV’s The Alan Titchmarsh Show, BBC’s Fake Britain and Channel 4’s The Salon.
She writes about beauty and wellbeing for a range of national magazines and has a couple of cats called Sunny and Star.
Jake Lambert is a stand-up comedian who has performed on Comedy Central, ITV and BBC. He has supported Romesh Ranganathan and Michael McIntyre on their worldwide tours.
He also writes for a range of shows including Mock The Week, The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice and The Apprentice: You're Fired. Jake has a one-eyed cat called Richard Parker.
Comedian Bob Mortimer has been part of double act Reeves and Mortimer for over 25 years, starting with Channel 4’s Vic Reeves’ Big Night In, and continuing with more hit shows including the BBC’s Shooting Stars and House of Fools.
Bob is currently starring with fellow comic Paul Whitehouse in the BBC’s Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing. Bob has two cats called Mavis and Goodmonson.
