Cat welfare team leader volunteer

Stockport

Our vision for volunteering

Volunteering is and always will be at the heart of Cats Protection. It is joyful and inclusive. As a charity, working in partnership, together we transform the lives of cats, people and communities.

The difference you will make to cats and people

Without the passionate and committed teams of volunteers across Cats Protection we wouldn’t be able to help the thousands of cats and kittens each year that rely on us for help. Our Cat welfare team leaders have the important role of coordinating, encouraging and supporting teams of fosterer volunteers and cat care volunteers. They help make sure volunteers with direct cat care roles are happy and confident and provide advice and guidance when needed. This incredible teamwork means we are able to help more cats and kittens in need.

A bit more information about this role and the team

This is a commitee role seeking a passionate individual wanting to make a difference to the lives of cats in our care.  It is a great time to come onboard and join a passionate and committed team that are already helping to promote positive welfare outcomes for cats in the area.

This role revolves around supporting our fosterers and the cats that are in their care.  The successful volunteer will be a key contact for people across the area who may have questions or need support whilst they take care of Cats Protection cats.  It is therefore a role requiring excellent communication skills but also an individual with lots of cat based knowledge that we can build on with our training.

Successful applicants must have access to a computer in order to be able to access the systems needed to support within this role which is namely Microsoft Forms and Outlook.  Access to a car would also be brilliant to support fosterers directly as and when is needed.

Full training will be given.  If you have any questions, don't hesitate to drop us an email at volunteering@nwengland.cats.org.uk
