Chip And Snip: January 2019
15 January 2019
Our first Chip and Snip day of the year with the RSPCA got off to a bumpier start than hoped. No shows and last minute cancellations left us with 12 out of the 17 cats planned. Then unforseen problems with the power resulted in the van being moved from Sheerness to Sittingbourne so that the day could continue. It was only thanks to the quick actions of the RSPCA that a new pick up point, and a later drop off, was arranged at the Sheerness RSPCA shop and the owners were contacted with this change. Not how we wanted the day to go but twelve cats ended up chipped and neutered. Which is still a great result. Thank goes to the RSPCA and Cats Protection Swale volunteers that made today happen in difficult circumstances. Also thank you to the patience and understanding shown by those attending. Mainly the cats. The cats were great.
