Freemasons summer Spectacular 2019
13 July 2019
Buster, Chester and the Swale Cats Protection team had a fantastic time at the Freemasons Summer Spectacular today on Sheppey! Our stand was next to two radio stations so we had ample opportunity to dance! Buster, of course, did not let us down; he boogied, he did the floss... and I think I even saw him dab! What a cool cat!
Chester was there for his first public appearance. Enjoying cuddles and high fives from the lovely children (and adults!) of Swale. He finally found out his name was Chester, thanks to Tania, after a hugely successful “guess the name” competition that raised £100
What a great name for a really cute cat!
We also ran a Teddy Tombola, which proved popular. With all the teddies going and over £100 raised.
It was rewarding to see so many happy faces as children ran off with their new teddy bears.
The day was great fun. Families were out in force, celebrating and supporting their local community. Volunteers worked hard to ignore all of Buster’s naughty behaviour, but did enjoy his affectionate pawing on occasion. Chester was a bit shy at first, but Buster soon knocked that out of him and both cats had a fantastic day out.
Today, you helped us raise over £500 for the needy cats of Swale, and we would like to take the time to extend our thanks and offer out one big HIGH FIVE to all our Cats Protection supporters. You are awesome! 👏
Special thanks go to Fenced In and Kent Chrome Cruisers for a generous donation of £100, and Horton Property Consultants for an equally generous donation of £150.
With extra special thanks going to the organisers of the event as it was a brilliant, fun packed day, which helped us raise a lot of money for the needy cats of Swale.
