Nalas Story

25 March 2021
Nalas Story When your shopping list consists of all the normal stuff plus Dreamies for a cat you don’t actually have, you may be one of many people who are familiar with Nala, the beautiful tabby girl who hangs around Tesco in Sheerness.
Nala was brought to our attention quite a few months back as people reported her as a stray, but it was soon found that 8 year old Nala had a very loving home but just didn’t get on with a male cat who also lived there. Because of this, she would spend a lot of her time outside Tesco, befriending people and ultimately receiving treats from their next shopping trip!
We spoke to the owner and was reassured that Nala was very much loved, but we all know that you can’t force a cat to stay where they don’t want to be. More time has now passed, Nala is not getting any younger and her owner is resigned to the fact that the 2 cats will never get along. She has made the heart breaking decision to have Nala rehomed via Swale CP so she can live out her years without having to hang around Tesco. It’s the right decision for Nala and we are very grateful to her owner for making the decision based on Nala’s well-being.

Nala will be available for adoption soon, so please keep an eye out on our website as we cannot take enquiries through our social media pages. In the meantime though, if you’d like to send her a gift, please take a look at our Amazon Wish list here -  Swale CP Amazon Wish list   or you can drop some treats into one of our food donation bins. She would love to have some presents!
