Fundraising Volunteer

As with all roles within the Abertawe & District Branch this is a 100% volunteer role.  However, depending on the role, we do help towards expenses such as travel or stationery.

How you will make a difference to cats and people
As a Fundraising volunteer you will work with the Fundraising Team Leader and other local volunteers in raising much needed funds for the local branch.  Cats in our care rely on generous donations from people who love cats and count on volunteers like you to make those donations happen.  You will lead volunteers in a variety of fundraising events and activities raising much needed funds to help towards veterinary treatment, food, litter etc, etc
However much is raised by the Fundraising Team raise will make a REAL difference to the abandoned cats and kittens in the Swansea area

What the role involves
In this role you will assist with organising and running fundraising events in the local area
You will have the opportunity to get your thinking cap on and share fundraising ideas in meetings with other volunteers and put those ideas into action
As well as assisting with the running of events, we encourage you to share your passion for cat welfare and promote our work at public events
Skills and experience which are expected and /or can be developed in this role
Ability to work well in a team
Good communication skills
Confident dealing with the public
Comfortable handling money
Knowledge of local community networks would be an advantage
Enthusiastic and fun attitude

Time expectation
This is a flexible role and the time involved will vary depending on the type and number of fundraising activities at any given time.  It is not unusual for volunteers to spend 5-8 hours a week in this role

How you will be supported
Current volunteers would provide support and training in your role and would provide you with day to day support, guidance and direction.  We would work together to ensure you have a positive volunteering experience.
