Thank you to everyone who has submitted an enquiry. We do appreciate the rollercoaster of emotions and are so sorry to disappoint so many people. Everyone at Trafford Branch wishes Tafuri well and she will soon begin a new journey settling into her new home. When you see Tafuri for the first time you can’t help but notice how pretty she is and what beautiful markings she has. She really is a looker! Seeing her now after the dedication, love and patience shown to her by her fosterer you’d be surprised at how her true colours are starting to show. Although it’s taken a long time, she’s gone from being extremely fearful and hiding herself away for long periods, to actively seeking out her fosterer for a fuss and a head-bump, her tail upright and enjoying a brush whilst purring and chatting away with her soft, gentle meow.
Tafuri’s around four years old and had attached herself to a managed feral group, possibly for a food source. We don’t know how long she had been with the group before she started visiting and trying to get into someone’s house. The kind person was able to interact with her and her behaviour makes us think that at some point earlier in her life Tafuri may have had a home but possibly abandoned. She’s still working on her inner-confidence bless her and is wary of new people and situations. However we all know that patience is a virtue and once you have earned Tafuri’s trust we’re sure that a great friendship will unfold.
We feel that Tafuri will be happiest in a quiet, stable home without school-aged children and with an experienced cat owner, preferably someone who has had the pleasure of bringing on a nervous cat. She’ll probably appreciate a quiet room to start off with, where you can spend quality time with her whilst she gets her bearings and her confidence. This could take some time, so you must be prepared to take things slowly. She’ll need to be kept indoors for some considerable time. This little star has already started to gl
