£10 Cats Protection Assisted* Neutering Scheme

One of Cats Protection’s key aims is neutering. It is the only effective way to reduce the number of unwanted cats in the UK. We also strongly believe that having a companion animal neutered is a responsible part of pet ownership.

To find out more about the benefits of neutering, plus some myths and facts about it, you can:

If you need financial assistance for neutering your pet cat or a stray cat, the branch may be able to offer help towards the cost.

Trafford Cats Protection covers the following areas:
M17, M31, M32, M33, M41, WA13, WA14 and WA15.

*Criteria for assistance with neutering.

Due to our limited resources we are unfortunately not always able to help everybody.  Means testing is one method by which we can ensure those on the lowest incomes are receiving help. The current list of means tested benefits is: Income Support, Housing Benefit, Council Tax Benefit, Pension Credit, Income Based Employment Support Allowance (ESA), Income Based Job Seekers Allowance (JSA), Working Tax Credits and Universal Credit.

Trafford Branch does not receive any funding from Cats Protection - we are responsible for all our own fundraising.  Our branch is run purely by volunteers - no one receives remuneration for any time spent volunteering.  We volunteer because we care and together we can make a difference.
