Volunteering

  • Cats Protection helps thousands of cats and kittens across the UK each year, thanks to our dedicated team of staff and volunteers.

Without volunteers we would not be able to operate at the capacity we do and help all of those cats year upon year, if not for the help and support of these amazing individuals.

Tyneside Adoption Centre opened in 2018 and our team is growing all the time.

Do you love cats and have some spare time on your hands?

Tyneside Adoption Centre are recruiting for the following roles:

  • Transport VolunteersIf you enjoy driving and would love to use these skills, this role could be for you! You will be transporting cats to and from the vets, foster homes and centres and transporting equipment and resources for events.  A full, current driving licence is required and happy to drive one of our Cats Protection vans.

  • Fosterer Volunteers - You will provide a safe and loving environment in your own home for a Cats Protection cat.  A dedicated spare room in your house is required and you will be tending to the needs of the cat or kitten in your care while providing an enriching experience through play.
