Figures for Thought

31 August 2018
Figures for Thought Figures for thought In 2017 we had 280 cats/kittens relinquished (plus kittens being born to pregnant mums in our care). Of that 280 a 109 were kittens. So in 2017 38.9% of cats/kittens in care were kittens. So far this year we have 261 cats/kittens relinquished (plus kittens being born to pregnant mums in our care). Of that 266 a 110 being kittens, which works out at 41.3%, so 8 months of the year has passed, yet we have seen an increase of 2.4 % in the amount of kittens coming into us.
So sadly looking at our figures we can see that although we and other charities are offering Snip and Chip vouchers at reasonable prices, the problem of unwanted kittens/unneutered cats is escalating!
