Holly and Ivy- Two Christmas Eve Tails!

24 December 2018
Holly and Ivy- Two Christmas Eve Tails! Holly and Ivy- Two Christmas Eve Tails! This month we have had several cats that have been abandoned at local vets, this morning we had these two little ones left outside on our van driver’s driveway, there was no note attached to the small dog crate so because of the time of year we have named them Holly and Ivy, we believe Holly and Ivy are aged around 6 – 9 months old. There are lots of reasons that cats come into our care such as their owners have died, or are terminally/mentally ill and they were left with no-one else to take them in. Others where the owners cannot afford to care for them any longer or the cat is stressed about changes in the owner’s household. Then we have domestic strays found outside after being abandoned which are a priority, cats from feral colonies that also need help! All of these cats that come into our care need varying degrees of vet care- we routinely neuter, vaccinate and microchip all- the majority need blood tests to check for infectious virus' such as FIV or FeLV and to check liver, kidneys or thyroid. We are only able to do all of this work thanks to our volunteers who give their time so generously and of course all our generous supporters.
