General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
13 May 2018
You will no doubt be aware of GDPR coming into effect from 25 May 2018. This updated data protection ensures that personal data cannot be used or shared without the express permission of the owner.
For example you will notice that instead of having to tick a box to say that you do not want to receive communications, you will now have to tick to say that you do want them. This is a great step forward to reducing unsolicited communications.
You currently receive our newsletter as you have either adopted a cat from us, have donated over £15 to branch or you sponsor our branch of Cats Protection in other ways, such as sponsoring a cat cabin or make a regular donation. Thank you so much for supporting our branch in this way!
If you would prefer not to receive this communication, or wish to change the ways we contact you, please contact Supporter Services by telephoning 0800 160 1012 Monday to Friday during office hours (9am-5pm), emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or writing to our head office at Free-post RTJK-TJKK-GREZ, Supporter Services, Cats Protection, National Cat Centre, Chelwood Gate, RH17 7TT.
