Sophie, Mia and Naomi's Summer Cake Sale

Earlier this year young fundraisers, Sophie, Mia and Naomi held a cake sale to help raise vital funds for the Welwyn Hatfield District branch of Cats Protection. Sophie’s mum, Angie, tells us,

The girls did the cake sale in the summer holidays outside my house (Sophie's). Mia came up with the idea when she was having a clear out of her bedroom of unwanted toys and books that she had, and this motivated the other two to do the same. We also decided on making cakes too, to make the stall more appealing, and it proved very popular with the neighbours and friends who popped over to buy some things. Everyone was very generous when they knew the money was being donated to charity. The girls all decided on Cats Protection as they are all animal lovers and Sophie and Mia both own cats.

They loved doing the sale and it went on for 4 hours instead of 2! They wanted to do another the following week but we persuaded them to maybe wait awhile longer!

Sophie, Mia and Naomi raised a fantastic £72 in total which will help support the cats in our care.
