Amber is approximately 6 years old and is looking for a new home under our Direct Rehoming Scheme. It would be lovely if she could be rehomed with her brother Archie as they are close but this isn’t essential.

As you can see from her photo, Amber is a beautiful tabby and white lady with an extremely soft coat. She is a little timid around loud noises but has an extremely loving personality and enjoys sitting on a comfy lap being stroked. She also loves to laze about on a windowsill soaking up the sun.

She enjoys Whiskas and Felix in jelly not gravy, likes Purina or Go Cat biscuits and loves the occasional Dreams or Temptations treats.

Amber needs to go to an adult only home or one where the kids are at least 10 plus as a boisterous household or one where young kids visit regularly wouldn’t be for her. If going to a home without Archie this needs to be one where she isn’t left for long periods of time on her own as she is used to having him for company. She currently lives as a housecat although it may be possible she would venture outdoors if introduced gradually.

To help people find new homes for cats they are unable to keep, we try to help via our DHS. This consists of advertising the cat on our website with as much info that we are aware of with a view to putting the prospective adopter in touch with the current carer. Each prospective adopter still has a home visit even though the cat is not the care of Cats Protection.

All known info regarding any cat on our DHS will be given to the prospective adopter at the time of the home visit. We make no claim to have accurate knowledge of the cat, its health, vaccination status, or whether it is neutered, microchipped etc. All rehomings are subject to a successful home visit. If you live in rented/leasehold property we require written consent to have a cat(s) from the landlord, management company or freeholder (whichever applies) to be obtained before a home visit c
