2nd Anniversary Raffle for Mr Tibbs

21 June 2013

Jemima Mantle is a Wolverhampton based artist who is raising money for Cats Protection in memory of her beautiful cat, Mr Tibbs, pictured left.

Jemima told us, "My boy Mr Tibbs was a truly gentle and happy soul. He passed in 2011 at the grand age of 16. I'd had him since I was 10, he was my best friend growing up and he moved out of my parents house with me. He was a big part of my life and all my friends and family loved him.

To commemorate and celebrate Mr Tibbs and his life shared with Jemima, every year she paints a beautiful cat canvas (pictured right) which she raffles off to raise funds for CP in Mr Tibbs' memory. She says "I feel like it's such a small thing to do but hopefully it's true that every little bit makes a difference. Tibbs would be so happy to know his birthday's being celebrated in this way."

Tickets cost £1 and the winner will be randomly selected on the afternoon of Friday 28th June. The raffle is open to anyone and you can buy tickets from Jemima's Justgiving page at www.justgiving.com/jemima-mantle

Every donation is allocated a sequential number, and on the 28th Jemima will select the winner by using a random number generator. The winner will then be announced on Jemima's facebook page: www.facebook.com/ardentshadows.art

Jemima exhibits with other alternative artists and regularly has stalls at tattoo shows under the name Ardent Shadows. She sells similar canvases to this at shows for £50, but this one is unique and was painted specifically for the raffle - so it's a great prize to win for the cost of a £1 ticket. You can see more of her work at www.ardentshadows.co.uk

This is the second year running that Jemima has run the raffle and this year the inspiration for her work came from Ted, one of the cats currently in our care looking for a home. Click here to find out more about Ted.

Every penny makes a difference, so we hope Jemima's raffle gets lots of support. Good luck, everyone!
