What we do
The Wootton Bassett and District Branch of Cats Protection was formed in 1998. Our Branch is run entirely by volunteers. We actively promote all aspects of feline care and offer part cost neutering, we rescue, foster and re-home as many cats and kittens as our resources will allow!
Our Branch is of course limited in resources in both personnel and finances and being self-funded, we rely on our own fund-raising and donations from the public, otherwise we would be unable to do our work!
We are a relatively small branch but cover most of Wiltshire! We have a team of 7 active fosterers and approximately 25 active volunteers. As a team we rescue, neuter, foster, rehabilitate and re-home on average about 220 cats and kittens each year. We help a lot more, be they ferals or domestic cats where the owner needs assistance of some kind.
We cover the following postcodes and areas:
SN4 - Wroughton & Royal Wootton Bassett
SN5 - Lydiard & Purton
SN8 - Marlborough
SN11 - Calne
SN14 - Chippenham
SN15 - Chippenham
Homing and Welfare - tel: 07917 862 514
Some of the above postcodes we share with adjoining branches, please contact us and we will be pleased to advise. This is all down to the hard work and dedication of our small team of 'die hard' volunteers. Would you like to join us? If so, then please contact us.
