Indoor Fosterers

WE ARE URGENTLY SEEKING MORE INDOOR CAT FOSTERERS FOR THE LONG TERM!

COULD YOU BE ONE OF THEM?

We recognise that cat fostering is not everyone’s “cup of tea.” The job is a challenge, but let me explain.

Cats come into our care for all manner of reasons, and sometimes the cats are traumatised and need a lot of love and patience, and it can take quite sometime before they become ready for re-homing. You need to be able to give them love and attention and, when they are ready to go to a good home, to say goodbye to them. You will then be ready to take another cat and to face up to another challenge. This is rewarding work.

It is easier to foster indoors if you don’t already have pets. If you do have pets, then a room needs to be set aside for your foster cat to live in isolation.

If you do not own your own home, you will need to first obtain the written permission of your landlord to foster. There will be a requirement to take your foster cats to the Vets for a health check, vaccinations, microchipping and neutering etc and it is helpful, (although not essential), that you have your own transport to do this.

All equipment, cat food, litter etc will be provided, and we cover any expenses you incur. You will not be out of pocket. All we ask is that you give foster cats a huge amount of love, attention and patience.

If you would like to discuss indoor fostering, please ring (01903) 765580 and speak to Rod.
