Adopt a cat

Welcome to Wrexham Cats Protection's Website

The first step to adopting a cat from Cats Protection is to browse through the cats that we currently have available for adoption. This will give you an idea of the kind of cat that you are looking for. The next step is to come to our Adoption Centre where we can show you around to meet our lovely cats. When you come to the centre we will ask you to fill out a home finder questionaire, just so that we can get an idea about what you are looking for and can try and match you up with the purr-fect cat for your home.

**Before coming to the Adoption Centre please bring proof of identification with your address on, such as a credit card statement, utility bill or driving licence.**

**We also require proof of permission to have a cat if you live in a rental property, this includes Private, Council and Housing Association tenants. This permission can either be written or emailed across to us before a reservation can be put on a cat. This can be emailed to Wrexham@cats.org.uk**

Our adoption fee is £70 (cash or card), this covers the cat's/kittens vaccinations*, a full vet health check, flea and worm treatments, neutering** and microchip. All our cats and kittens come with 4 weeks free vet fees insurance with Pet Plan.

*All of our cats and kittens are given their 1st Vaccination in care and are then due their 2nd one 3 weeks later. If the cat/kitten requires a 2nd vaccination after adoption, you can take them to our vets- Vets 4 Pets Veterinary Surgery inside Pets at Home at Plas Coch and we will pay for the vaccination and there will be a £6.00 administration fee on the day to the veterinary surgery.
*If you wish to take the cat or kitten to your own vet then you will need to check if the vets have a compatible vaccination to what we use, which is Nobivac Tricat Trio/Felv and then it would be up to the adopter to pay for that vaccination.

**If the kitten has not been neutered, we will provide a neutering voucher to cover the full cost of the operation.
