What we do

Through homing, neutering and other services, we support the welfare of cats and kittens in North Wales, Shropshire & Chester.

Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity. At Wrexham Adoption Centre, we offer support services to help cats and kittens in the local community.

We’re a passionate, cat-loving team who work in Wrexham  to deliver an ambitious national vision.

Cat adoption and rehoming in North Wales

Since we moved into our new purpose built centre on Bradley Road in Wrexham in late November 2019, we’re proud to have found loving new homes for over 450 cats and kittens. We look at everything from the cat’s personality and individual needs, to their potential new home environment and the lifestyle of their adopter, creating a perfect feline friendship between cat and owner. If you’re looking to adopt a cat in North Wales, Shropshire or Chester, you can view our latest cats and kittens here. www.cats.org.uk/wrexham/adopt-a-cat

If you are considering rehoming your cat via the Wrexham Adoption Centre, we’re here to help you through this process. We understand that giving up a cat is never an easy decision. Read the Cats Protection guide to help you decide if and when you should rehome your cat. If you’d like to speak to somebody about your situation, you can contact our centre at: wrexham@cats.org.uk or call 03000 12 02 69

Getting your cat neutered is the best way to avoid unwanted litters of kittens. There are also many health benefits to neutering; it reduces fighting, injuries and vet bills and can stop your cat from straying too far from home. Find out more about neutering via this link www.cats.org.uk/what-we-do/neutering

If you live in North Wales, Shropshire or Chester and are hesitant about neutering your cat because of the price, don’t worry - we might be able to help with the cost. Please get in touch to find out if you are eligible for a voucher. Please Call 03000 12 12 12 and chose option 2. Our neutering team are able to accept calls between Monday and Friday from 9.30am until 1pm.

Trap, neuter and return (TNR) - We can also help with advice on feral cat situations and may be able to help with trapping and neutering.

Please call 03000 12 02 69 to hire a trap from the Wrexham Adoption Centre
