Volunteering

URGENTLY REQUIRED: VOLUNTEERS FOR VARIOUS ROLES, BOTH COMMITTEE AND NON-COMMITTEE.

We welcome volunteers with open arms, whether you are young or old, male or female, there's a place for you with us!

There are lots of ways you can become involved and give your support... here are just a few of the roles we currently have available.

Welfare:
This is a very central role that involves communicating with re-homing, for cats that need new homes. If you think you can help and might be interested in this role please email enquiries@colnevalley.cats.org.uk or call 01376 755 725 and we would be happy to discuss further with you.

Cat Fostering:
Can you help a cat that is looking for a new home? Do you have a spare room at home? Can you provide temporary love and care for cats that are looking for new permanent homes? Full support and supplies provided. For further information, please contact enquiries@colnevalley.cats.org.uk or call 01376 755 725 and we will be more than happy to provide more information on this rewarding, hands on role. Please click the blue text to read our information leaflet:  Interested in becoming a cat foster carer?

Feral Officer:
We require a Feral Officer to join our dedicated team of volunteers. The Feral Officer will be part of the Welfare Team, and help to deal with cats that need trapping and neutering in various locations such as farms and industrial estates. The role may also involve helping to trap and relocate feral kittens. The Feral Officer needs to be able to drive our branch van, and have some spare time to regularly monitor the traps.
For further information please contact enquiries@colnevalley.cats.org.uk or call 01376 755 725

Lost and Found Volunteer
We are looking for a volunteer to assist our Lost and Found Officer. The role involves reuniting lost and found cats with their owners, informing and notifying local vets and charities, and using social media to share information and assist cat owners who have lost cats, or members of the public who have found a cat.

If you would like to volunteer for this rewarding and important role, please contact us on 01376 755725 or email us on enquiries@colnevalley.cats.org.uk

If you are interested in doing any volunteering work for our branch then please contact us, we would love to hear from you!
Branch team leader volunteer

At Cats Protection we help thousands of cats and kittens each year thanks to our dedicated and passionate volunteer groups. We have over 250 branches across the UK, all of which help our feline friends in different ways. Branches take in stray and abandoned cats and ensure they receive the veterinary care and attention they deserve, help raise funds, promote neutering and help spread cat welfare messages. Our branch team leader volunteers lead their local team by supporting and managing volunteers within their group, maintaining communications with both volunteers and staff, and helping promote a positive and professional image of Cats Protection.

Cat Admissions Volunteer

Our cat admissions volunteers ensure the smooth running of our admissions process, helping our volunteer groups and teams admit cats into our care in the most effective and stress-free way possible for both people and cats. This role is undertaken from your own home. This could be the perfect volunteer role if you have administration experience, a passion for cats, or both! Without the passionate and committed teams of volunteers across Cats Protection, we wouldn’t be able to help the thousands of cats and kittens each year that rely on us for help.
