How can you help our cats?
There are so many different ways you can help!
Obviously our cat pens need cleaning thoroughly every day and the occupants need feeding! This should be arranged with each individual fosterer.
· Transporting cats to the vet and/or return them,
· Conducting pre-adoption home visits
· Spend time socialising with the cats in our care in order to maintain human contact (laps, cat talk, fussing over and may be a game or two)
· Fostering (Cat Carers) to temporarily house cats while waiting to be homed - this can be done in a spare room or in a purpose built cat pen (provided) in your garden! All vet expenses are paid for but we cannot provide all food, unless it is prescription diet, The role gives great satisfaction and quite simply, we cannot operate without Fosterers!
· Fund raisers - If you can help with any of the following please contact Sallie on 01442 256545
1. To help at stalls and jumbles
2. To help with street collections
3. To help transport goods to events
4. To grow plants to sell at events
5. Donate unwanted items that are in good condition, bric- a -brac, unwanted gifts, cat related goods etc. Bubble wrap, wrapping paper.
The list goes on and on!

If you’d like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you. Just call 0345 371 1851.
Fundraising volunteer

As a charity we rely on funds donated by generous members of the public to continue to help cats and kittens in need. Our fundraising volunteers are part of a passionate team that help raise funds to help our feline friends in need. They help plan and deliver exciting and varied fundraising events, which can be anything from craft fairs, cake sales, sponsored abseils – and anything in between!

Volunteer fosterer

Across Cats Protection there are thousands of cats and kittens needing temporary homes until they find their forever families. Many of our feline friends are cared for by volunteer fosterers in their homes or in purpose built pens in their gardens. Most of our volunteer fosterers care for one or two cats at a time, which makes a huge difference and gives these cats a second chance at a happy life. They provide vital hands on care and accommodation to stray, abandoned or injured cats and are part of a dedicated team of volunteers committed to finding new homes for cats in need.

Cats in our care rely on generous donations from people who love cats and count on volunteers like you to make those donations happen. By recording and processing gift aid donations, you can ensure that Cats Protection receives the additional funds linked to each initial donation made by taxpayers who have chosen to donate through gift aid.
