The Importance of being chipped
This article from the Metro highlights the importance and benefits of having our cats chipped. This simple and fairly cheap aid to being reunited with our beloved pets has brought together Scrubs and his owner Matthew Noble in Mississipi USA.
Scrub was reunited with Matthew and Jennifer Noble in Mississippi – five years after Hurricane Katrina separated them.
The seven-year-old cat was identified by microchip.
‘If he could talk, I’m sure he’d have quite a story to tell us,’ said Matthew’s mother, Jennifer Noble.
She also explained that she was sceptical when she first received a phone call from the animal shelter, but by the end of the night of their reunion, Scrub had already made the Noble's home his own again, though he has changed slightly.
She said: 'Today, he still has his moments where he gets a little jumpy. 'He is not as docile as he used to be. He’s got a little bit of wild in him.'
So, don't risk being separated from your loved one should he or she wander off. Get your cat chipped!!
