Did you know that Cats Protection rehomed over 55,000 cats and kittens last year? The Lichfield branch is just one small (but significant!) part of this.
We currently cover Lichfield and Tamworth areas - postcodes WS13 and WS14 and B77, B78 and B79. If you live outside of these areas, check for your local midlands branch. Please note that Stafford Cats Protection covers Rugeley.
Take a look at our gallery of cats, currently being cared for by the Lichfield branch, below. These are cats and kittens currently seeking a loving and caring new home.
Cats and kittens come in to our care every week, so there may be more new cats not on our gallery yet also seeking a new home.
If you would like to genuinely adopt any of the cats featured, then please use the Contact Us page to find out how to get in touch with us by phone or e-mail.
When contacting us to enquire about homing a cat, please tell us a little about your circumstances:
If you are enquiring generally about homing a cat, rather than asking about a specific cat on our site, please also let us know if you are seeking a kitten, young cat or older cat? male or female cat etc? This helps us to help you - thank you!
For more information about the homing process, please visit the Adopt A Cat section on the main Cats Protection website.
As with all Cats Protection branches, since October 2010, Lichfield Cats Protection charges an 'Adoption Fee' at the point of homing a cat.
Lichfield branch current Adoption Fees are as follows:
Kitten or Cat up to 8 years old - £35
Cat aged 9 years to 12 years - £30
Cat aged 12 years plus - £25
Cat or kitten with an ongoing medical condition requiring medication/regular vet visits - no fee
Pedigree cats or special breeds - please discuss thefee with our volunteer Fosterer or Homing Officer.
If adopting more than two cats at the same time:
2 x kittens or cats up to 8 years old - £50
2 x cats aged 9 to 12 years - £45
2 x cats aged 12 years plus - £40
This fee helps us to pay for the care of the cat or kitten, whilst we were looking after him or her, and covers the costs of food, bedding, litter, vet bills, vaccination(s), neutering/spaying (cats homed at 6 months old or above) and microchipping.
We welcome any additional donations too from new owners. Thank you for your support!
Some of the cats in our care may not yet be on our website. If you are looking for a feline companion, please call us on 0845 371 2741
