Everyone at Preston Branch is an unpaid volunteer. We all work from our
own homes, and usually meet up at fundraising events, although we do
keep in touch by phone and email.
Preston Branch are looking for one or two new fosterers to join the
team, to help us to rescue and rehome even more cats in 2012. Our
fosterers have one or two cat pens in their gardens, so it's important
that you have a private and secure back garden. You would be collecting
the cats from the vets, and taking them there for vaccinations and other
treatments, so it's important that you have access to transport. You
would also be talking to prospective new owners, filling in the homing
forms, and liaising with the Treasurer, the Homing Officer, our
volunteer photographer, and the PR Officer on homings, so it's important
that you are organised, good at keeping to deadlines, and a team worker.
Of course, the most important qualification is that you love cats, and
are able to care for those that need help, and then willingly let them
go to their new homes. If you have any questions, please contact the
branch on 0845 177 0708 or via email at PrestonCatsProtection@gmail.com
