Volunteer at Cats Protection Calder Valley & District

Without volunteers, Cats Protection Calder Valley simply wouldn't exist. Our amazing, friendly volunteers are a diverse group with a shared love of cats who fit volunteering around their home lives and personal commitments. 

We're often looking to welcome new volunteers to join our brilliant team. As well as meeting great people and making an incredible difference to the cats of Calder Valley, you'll enjoy practical benefits such as discounted pet insurance. You can find out more about volunteering for Cats Protection here

Neutering

Cats Protection may be able to contribute towards the cost of neutering your cat or kitten if you receive a means-tested benefit, earn under £25,000 a year, and live within the HX7 or OL14 postcode areas.

To apply, please email neutering@calder.cats.org.uk and include the following details:

  • Your full name

  • Your address

  • A contact phone number

  • Your cat’s name

  • Their age

  • Whether they are male or female

  • The name of your vet (if you have one)

  • Proof of benefits or income – this can be a screenshot or PDF, but it must clearly show your name. Applications cannot be made on behalf of someone else.

We will get in touch if any further information is required. Otherwise, we will email to confirm that your voucher has been sent by post, along with instructions on what to do once it arrives.

Important: Please do not book an appointment with your vet until you have received your voucher.

Cats Protection Calder Valley & District are not currently able to take in or rehome cats.

We may be able to support with a neutering voucher towards the cost of neutering an owned cat if you live in the HX7 or OL14 postcodes and you are in receipt of benefits or on a low income.
