March quiz musters £400 for moggies!

Helping local moggies is certainly marching on with the success of Monday night’s March quiz – first of the year - raising over £400! Held at the Digby as always, eleven teams took part with ‘Paws for Thought’ taking the first prize and team ‘Saint Catricks’ coming second.
Second to none were the branch volunteers who put together the event - Nicole, Sue, Kathy, Lorraine, Jane, Jenny and Amanda. The token male was Adam – Cats Protection’s compere beyond compare – strong voice, strong appeal!
Digby staff always choose the best team name and chose a ‘bit of a mouthful’ this time – ‘catastrophic catflap’ – the leader with the beard was well chuffed with his team’s prize of sweeties!
Says coordinator Nicole: “It’s great to be back for the first quiz of 2024. Our thanks to the Digby management and staff who are so welcoming and to everyone who came along, winners and losers alike! Jenny sold lots of her home-made jams, Kathy penned the quiz questions, and the winners – ‘Paws for Thought’ - obviously didn’t pause over the answers! A good time was had by all and we hope to see the same super teams again and more at our next Digby quiz night in July.”
