Pub quiz summer special - with 17 teams!

The second pub quiz of the year was held at the Digby on the 17 July – with 17 teams taking part and £480 raised for the cats. Pictured are volunteers Elaine and Sue 'totting up' the scores, and the delighted winning team 'lifting' the top prize - a beer for all!
Says coordinator Nicole: “It’s great to be back fully functional and fund-raising again – big thanks to the Digby management and staff who are so welcoming and to everyone who came along, winners and losers alike! Jenny sold lots of her home-made jams, Elaine wrote the quiz questions, Adam was compere and the winners with 56 points was team ‘667 the neighbour of the beast’. Not the most cat-chy name – but that didn’t hold them back. And the prize of a beer hamper had them raising their bottles!”
The Digby staff always get the plum job of choosing the best team name – and they chose 'Feline Pawfect' – which summed up the whole evening. Next quiz is 20th November. So maybe 20 teams will come along!
