Did you know there are feral colonies of cats...

Swale Cats Protection, based on Isle of Sheppey, Kent is part of Cats Protection - UK's leading feline charity.

Sheppey branch of Cats Protection (now Swale) was founded almost 25 years ago and in that time we have cared for and re-homed thousands of cats and kittens that would otherwise never have had the chance of a loving and secure home.  We also encourage neutering of cats of all ages to help control the growing cat population.  A voucher scheme is available - please call us for more information.

Swale Branch is run entirely by unpaid volunteers who are dedicated to making the lives of cats and kittens in our area better.  Please only contact the volunteers on the advertised phone number.  Our website is updated regularly to make sure we provide up to date information on our cats and Branch activities.

In 2011 we helped over 90 cats and kittens find their way into loving homes.  We don't actually have a central base, all our cats and kittens are temporarily housed with our fosterers in heated outdoor pens or with our indoor fosterers who care for our cats in their own homes.  Hopefully you will find your purrfect feline friend here, if not contact us, we are likely to know of a cat that needs a new home.

Below is a selection of cats currently with Swale CP that urgently require their forever homes, further information on our adoption pages.

Important note.

Cats Protection now ask adopters for a fee when rehoming a cat, the Swale Branch fee is similar to that of our friends at CP Canterbury Branch, however, if you feel able to make a donation on top of that fee, that would of course be gratefully received.   We know times are hard so thank you for your decision to rehome a CP cat!
