Adopt a cat

Listed below are a few of the cats currently in our care who are looking for new homes and families. Enquiries regarding homing our cats or kittens are warmly welcomed. As the Wolverhampton branch, we mainly home within WV postcodes, however we won't exclude anyone outside our area. Our aim is to find the best home we can for our cats and we regularly liaise with other branches to make this happen.

If you think that you can offer a cat a good, safe, caring home then please call us on 01902 651173 or send an email to wolverhamptoncp@yahoo.co.uk. We are available to give advice and support following any adoption, and if you adopt a cat undergoing medical treatment for a long term condition from us, we will make a contribution to the vet bills arising from the condition.

Please note all rehomings are subject to a successful home visit. If you live in rented or a leasehold property we will require the written consent to have a cat(s) from either the landlord, management company or freeholder (whichever applies) to be obtained before a home visit can be undertaken.

We do everything we can to ensure your cat has had the very best love, care and attention whilst with us. Every cat we home is health checked and arrangements are made for recommended treatments or procedures e.g. microchipping, neutering etc.

Costs for this vary: Vaccinations – £30. Neutering (if required) – up to £35. Flea & worm treatments – £10. Microchip – £15. Vet checks, and blood test for all adult cats – £25. We therefore ask adopters for a fee of £50 per cat or kitten or £90 if you adopt two together. If you feel able to make a donation on top of the fee it would be very gratefully received. We know times are hard so thank you for your decision to rehome a CP cat!

Direct Homing Scheme

To help people find new homes for cats that they are unable to keep for whatever reason, we try to help via our direct homing scheme. This consists of advertising the cat on our website with as much information that we are aware of with a view to putting the prospective adopter in touch with the current carer. However each prospective adopter is still subject to a home visit even though the cat is not the care of Cats Protection. All known information regarding any cat on our direct homing scheme will be given to the prospective adopter at the time of the home visit. However, we make no claim to have accurate knowledge of the cat, its health, vaccination status, or whether it is neutered, microchipped etc.

Some of the cats in our care may not yet be on our website. If you are looking for a feline companion, please contact us on 01902 651173
