Name: CHESTER

Location: Bedford & Biggleswade

Chester is a mature man, looking for his forever retirement home.

Chester is a very loving, affectionate boy who loves to be made a fuss of. He always greets you when you go into his pen for a visit and will jump up on you lap as soon as you sit down. He loves to be combed or brushed as it helps him to keep his coat in good condition.

It is thought that Chester is over the age of 12 although it is hard to tell as he only has one tooth. Despite this he will still happily tuck into his food and biscuits, and you can often hear him crunching on a biscuit when he manages to get it where his tooth is!!

Chester came in as a stray and has been diagnosed with cat flu. Apart from a bit of a snotty nose and the odd sneeze he is well in himself. Cat flu is something that Chester will always have, and the symptoms are usually more noticeable during times of stress. It is hoped that when he is in his new home the symptoms will be few and far between.

Due to the cat flu Chester would like to be the only cat in his new home and is looking for a quiet home where he can live out his golden years in a relaxed environment, so any children in the household should be teenagers. He would like a home away from busy roads and railways.

Chester is neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated.

A safe, secure, quiet room to start off in would be ideal for Chester. A room where he can have a separate area for food and water. For a litter tray placed as far away as possible from his food and water. For somewhere to hide, access to a high spot where he can view his surroundings, a suitable place to sleep or, ideally, a choice of them, a scratching post and a few cat toys and space for him to play. We would recommend a Feliway diffuser in his room, as he will likely hide away for a few days when he goes to his new home.
