What we do

Like all other branches of the Cats Protection across the country we do a wide range of things in order to protect and help cats.

Our main work is taking in cats and kittens from owners who can no longer care for them. Cats are cared for by our network of volunteer fosterers in cat pens or indoors. We also take in strays and attempt to reunite them with their original owner.  If the owner can't be traced, the cat is re-homed.

We constantly raise funds to pay for the care and treatment of our cats by running our own fairs in Tadley and Basingstoke and also by having a sales table at other events. We also do collections at various locations such as supermarkets and Pets at Home.
Any cats we take in which require medical treatment are treated by a vet at our expense so that the cats are fit and healthy when they are re-homed.
