Tom and EbonyRayleigh, Castle Point & District

Tom and Ebony lived with an elderly lady and when she moved to her daughters, sadly they got left behind as she was unable to take them. We were alerted to them by the new owner of the property while they were feeding them on a temporary basis. They were both a little scared and had to be caught indoors at feeding time. Tom we know is 14-15 years old and is in good health.
Ebony was originally a stray and her true age is now known. We were told she was about 7 years, but I think her true age is much older, maybe about 15 years. Ebony is hyperthyroid, which means she has to have a tablet twice a day, which she readily takes in her food. We would continue to pay for her ongoing medication.
Both cats are gentle and sweet natured. Ebony loves a fuss but resists being picked up.
Tom is very quiet but goes enjoy a fuss and is ok to be picked up. Tom is the big cat and all black. Ebony, the smaller cat, is black with lots of white hairs in her fur. These two lovely cats are very happy in each others company and it would be really nice if they could stay together. They are both quite shy and so a suitable home with an experienced owner is what we would need.
Someone in early retirement would be ideal.
