Adopt a cat

We are able to begin homing again through a 'hands free' homing process.  This means that there will be changes to the way we home the cats from our branch.  We will carry out virtual homing checks and this will involve, where possible, a video call (or phone if video not available) to discuss the homing with the intended adopters.  It will also involve payments being taken electronically, where this is not possible we will look at other arrangements.

All the details will be explained in full when you register your interest in a cat.

Please see below the cats we currently have available for rehoming.

Due to careful monitoring and advice from the Government, we are now able to admit cats into our care.

How to Adopt a Cat

As a Branch of Cats Protection, we always have many cats desperately needing homes. We have both information and photos of the cats and kittens looking for new homes but if one (or two!) catch your eye, please ring us on 01268 750831 or message us via this website.  We will be able to give you more details about the particular cat and will arrange the 'home visit' that is needed before the cat, or kitten, is homed with you.

We also have regular homing shows, (usually held monthly) the dates of which are shown on our events page.

All cats are neutered (apart from very young kittens), treated for fleas and worms, fully vaccinated and micro-chipped prior to homing.   They are also insured with Pet Plan for the first four weeks within your care.  Cats Protection asks adopters for a fee of £60 when rehoming a cat. If you feel able to make a donation on top of the fee that would, of course, be gratefully received. We know times are hard so thank you for your decision to rehome a cat or kitten from the Branch.

Each cat or kitten homed from us creates a space for another cat to come in and we are grateful for your support by looking at this website - please let your friends and family know about us.
