Ask the Behaviourist - Facebook Q&A

16 August 2013
Ask the Behaviourist - Facebook Q&A Any cat behaviour questions just burning into your very soul? Why does my cat head butt me? Why does he pee on my dvd player? What does a twitching tail mean?

Well, there’s the chance to ask questions like this and more to our very own Behaviourist, Nicky Trevorrow, who will be live on Cats Protection's Facebook page on Friday 2 August between 11am and 1pm. But no questions before that time, please!

We recently conducted a survey with over 1,100 adult cat owners and found a worrying lack of knowledge about cat behaviour and what it really means. The findings highlight how owners can struggle to follow signs that their cat is unhappy. More than a third (38 per cent) didn’t realise a cat with flattened ears means it is scared and needs somewhere to hide. Also worrying is 49 per cent of us are unable to identify that a cat licking its lips can be an indication of stress.

So get your questions ready for Friday 11am and join us on www.facebook.com/catsprotection
